Vertailu: Suomi on Euroopan tuotekehityskuningas

Suomen tuotekehitysaste eli tutkimuksen ja tuotekehityksen osuus kansantuotteesta on EU-maiden suurin, kertoo Euroopan tilastoviranomainen Eurostat.
Viime vuonna Suomen tuotekehitysaste oli 3,32 prosenttia kansantuotteesta. Seuraavaksi suurimmat tunnusluvut olivat Ruotsissa, 3,21 prosenttia, ja Tanskassa, 3,05 prosenttia.
Suomen tuotekehitysmenot viime vuonna olivat 6,7 miljardia euroa.
EU-maiden keskiarvo oli 2,02 prosenttia.
EU-maiden parhaimmistokin jää jälkeen Etelä-Koreasta, missä tuotekehitysaste oli 4,04 prosenttia, ja Japanista, 3,38 prosenttia.

Kiinassa tuotekehitysaste on 1,98 prosenttia ja Venäjällä vain 1,11 prosenttia.
Yritysten osuus tuotekehitysmenoista oli 64 prosenttia viime vuonna, ja korkeakoulutuksen osuus 23 prosenttia.

The 30 Most Prosperous Countries In The World - #8 Finland

According to Legatum Institute's annual Prosperity Index, Norway is still the most prosperous nation in the world. For the sixth year in a row, the Scandinavian country claims the top spot over 142 countries, which account for 96% of the world's population and 99% of global GDP.
The Prosperity Index measures countries based on 89 different economic analysis variables that measure success in industry, education, health, freedom, opportunity, and social capital.
Of the top 30 nations listed, almost two thirds are European. The US ranks 10th overall and is followed closely by the United Kingdom (13th) and Germany (14th).

Suomi maailman kahdeksanneksi vaurain maa

Suomi on maailman kahdeksanneksi vaurain maa, ilmenee uudesta kansainvälisestä vertailusta.

Maanantaina julkistettu Legatum Instituten uusi listaus kertoo, että maailman vaurain maa on Norja, perässään Sveitsi ja Uusi-Seelanti.

Vertailussa maita on rankattu muillakin perusteilla kuin pelkän talouden mukaan. Myös esimerkiksi sosiaalinen pääoma, koulutus, hallinto ja terveys on laskettu mukaan.

Talousmittarilla Suomi on maailmassa vasta sijalla 26, mutta Suomen sijoitusta nostavat ennen kaikkea yrittäjyys (sija 4), hallinto ja sosiaalinen pääoma (sijat 5).

Suomen edelle sijoittuvat myös Tanska, Kanada, Ruotsi ja Australia.
